I add another comfort restaurant to my list! Joining Pancake House and Borough is Café Mary Grace.

Unluckily I’ve been frequenting Medical City and hospital visits aren’t fun. Thank God Café Mary Grace opened in Rockwell Ortigas giving me a reason to look forward to hospital trips. The café is laid back, homey and you don’t feel rushed - it makes you want to stay longer. It gives a great vibe to catch up with someone or connect with friends and family. A place for couples - can be. A place for a date, perhaps not.

More than their pastries or food, I keep coming back for their iced teas! Being a tea lover, their blends will make you smile. The iced teas are made from scratch with no concentrates. All their iced teas cost P75. I’ve tried the Peppermint & Fruits, Peach, Sangria and my hands down favorite is the Apple & Cinnamon Honey iced tea.

But wait, there’s more. I tried a couple of dishes and was relatively satisfied.

Pasta Amatriciana w/Italian Meatballs (P210)
A filling pasta dish that was just okay.

Smoked Salmon and Cream (P250)
The portion seemed average but this dish has a mighty punch – it was delicious and heavy on the tummy.

Grilled Rosemary Chicken with Couscous (P298)
This has got to be my favorite out of everything. This dish had an explosive taste of the ingredients. The chicken was very flavorful and moist and blended very well with the couscous and tomato sauce.
