Food Magazine’s Kitchen Series 2011

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

I’ve attended back to back to back events by ABS-CBN Publishing because of the invite of my friend. This is the first event we attended.

I’m all about experiencing new things. This time, not only was it new, it was free! I attended the Food Kitchen Series. This workshop was in partnership with Enderun. It’s a free cooking demo featuring 4 dishes plus lunch at Enderun’s Restaurant 101. We were able to watch each dish being prepared and tasted it as well.

Shrimp Tartar Burgers

Riso Nero Alla Florentina (Black Rice with Cuttlefish)

Tomato Basilica Fish Soup and Canneloni

Black Forest Cake

That was just the demo! We had a 3 course meal for lunch.

Salmon Fillet (mi-cuit) with caper herb dressing and warm potato salad

Chicken Basquaise with stewed peppers and Bayonne ham

Louis XV
My golly, this was one luxurious dessert. It tasted like a softer Ferrero Rocher. It was freaking fabulous and to die for.

It’s amazing when people follow their passion and excel in it. For culinary wannabees, Enderun is such a beautiful and inspiring place to be educated in.

I had a different and interesting day at the Food Kitchen Series! It was fun going on a gastronomic weekend. This can actually qualify for a photo walk! Haha
